Welcome to our website.  My name is Richard Hamm.  I am overseeing Destiny Church in Kingsport, TN, New Life Family Church in Gettysburg, PA and Belvedere Christian Church in Towson, MD.   I also travel, doing the work of an apostle - encouraging, strengthening and supporting the local church to reach its full potential in Him.  My wife's name is Karen.  We have been married for 30 years and have two children. 

River of Life Ministries is the "umbrella" ministry for what God has called Karen & I to do.  This ministry represents the overall thrust of our ministry - doing the work of an apostle and father in and among those relationships that God has given us to be stewards over.  Destiny Mobile Ministries represents our traveling ministry, which is centered in strengthening and encouraging the local church.

Twenty years ago, we went to Pennsylvania to pastor a local church, and at that time we didn't know that our call would lead us into ministry in other cities and states.  We only knew that we were "sent" to be a "shepherd after God's heart" (Jer. 3:15).

In our desire to obey, we began to get invitations to "come over... and help us" (Acts 16:9) from other pastors, churches and ministries, and over the last several years, we have had the privilege to travel to several states - Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, West Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, Virginia, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Washington, as well as, several cities in PA.  It has been an awesome thing to be able to be "sent" by our Father into the lives of so many of His people.

Karen & I are excited and humbled during this season of our lives, considering ourself extremely blessed to be a part of His "river of life for the healing of the nations" (Rev. 22:1-2), as well as an incredible honor to be as "nursing fathers....and nursing mothers...." to His sons in a day when He is "turning the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the children to the fathers".
